Trendy werewolf stuff for trendy werewolf people.

Ask Andronica! Hollywood & Vampires

Although I had intended to start this column with another amusing anecdote from my treasure-trove of lycanthropic lore, time is short this week, since I have been temporarily assigned to an MI6 listening-post in Kiev. Not quite as bad as Kazakhstan (the vodka is better), but still annoying, because it takes me away yet again from my search for Lysandra – just when I had received a fresh lead, this time from New York City of all places. (more…)

Behold the Patron Saint of Werewolf Wednesday

Via friend and Werewolf News reader Amurana comes this eye-popping photo of the raddest party-werewolf this side of 1992, or possibly the earthly incarnation of Adventure Time‘s Party God. The photo was taken by Thomas Hawk during a  2012 Holi celebration in Salem, Utah, and I ardently desire a giant print of it for times when I’m feeling down and Andrew W.K. isn’t around. (more…)

Ask Andronica! Dreams & Glamour

Today is the 333rd birthday of the composer Georg Philipp Telemann. Last week was the 300th birthday of his godson Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. When you’re as old as I am, you normally don’t count years, but round birthdays – especially of humans we once knew – are grounds for grateful remembrance. (more…)

The Bogus Backyard Werewolf of Brazil

According to The Internet, this is a real thing, insofar as man’s claims re: a 1.5 metre, hair-covered thing scratching at his gate and “writhing” in a very real way motivated the Brazilian city of São Gonçalo dos Campos to impose a 9PM curfew. (more…)

Ask Andronica! Instincts and Guilt

After my first column was published two weeks ago, it didn’t take more than an hour before I received an angry phone call from Livia in New York. The Sisterhood of the Wolf had tolerated my publishing activities so far, she said, because everyone would assume that it was all fiction. If I now began answering questions from the public, however, then verification of my existence would be possible – at least by those who submit questions to the column. (more…)

Come see me at Vancoufur 2014

If you live in the Vancouver area and you’ve ever wanted to take me to task in person for my controversial opinions on lycanthropic topics, this weekend is your chance. Starting at 11AM Thursday the 27th (tomorrow!) and running through Sunday March 2nd, my wife Tandye and I will be running a table in the Dealers’ Den at Vancoufur. (more…)

Ask Andronica! Happy Valentine’s Day (Massacre)

Happy Valentine’s Day and welcome to my first column here on Werewolf-News.com! In the time-honoured tradition of ‘Dear Abby’, both humans and werewolves alike can seek advice on dealing with the common problems of everyday lycanthropic living. (more…)

Classic Teen Wolf cameo in Radio Shack’s Super Bowl commercial

I watched the Super Bowl because Seattle’s just down the road from me, but I didn’t see many of the commercials at the time, because, you know, Canada. However, I did hear that the classic Teen Wolf made an appearance in Radio Shack’s commercial, and when I found the 1980’s pop culture love-fest on YouTube, I wasn’t disappointed.

The “Werewolf Diet” involves neither werewolves nor nutrition

My news feed is blowing up on this subject, so I want to address it real quick. Yes, I’ve heard about the so-called Werewolf Diet – a liquid diet timed to take advantage of the magnetic properties of the moon – and aside from being a nutritionally preposterous fad, it’s a complete misnomer. (more…)
