Just So We’re Clear

While on the prowl for werewolf news, I find that lately, every second article, post, photo or link has something to do with the Twilight phenomenon. With a film on the way and more to come, the deluge of tween-dreamy vampire pap is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, so I want to be upfront about a few things:

  1. There are no actual werewolves in the Twilight series.
  2. Werewolf-News.com will not be providing coverage of any Twilight-related news (see Point 1).
  3. Remus Lupin could kick Jacob Black’s ass with both hands tied behind his back.
  4. Vampires are not cool.

Back!

Sorry for the absence, everyone. I had some pretty excellent stuff happen over the weekend– my wife returned to Canada after an unplanned four-month absence caused by some problems with immigration paperwork. It was a long summer without her, and now that she’s back, you might see some interesting new art-related features appearing here before long.

Anyway, sorry again for the absence, and now it’s back to werewolf news!

Taking Friday Off

Hey, werewolf freaks. I’m taking Friday the 12th off to attend to some important personal business. Weekly Werewolf Art and any new lycanthropic tidbits that get sent my way will be posted on Saturday… and I’ve had some pretty sweet messages from an author and a comic book creator, so the wait should be worth it.

Werewolves Prefer Google Chrome

According to my web anayltics software, in the 20 hours that Google Chrome has been available, 4% of the traffic visiting Werewolf News has been using the new web browser from Google. I mention this as news because many of the other first-day stats I’m seeing from other people indicate Chrome user levels at around 1%. That’s a gargantuan number of users for a browser that’s been out for less than a day… and to have four times that number visiting this site is really quite amazing. I guess werewolves (and those who like werewolves) really do prefer Google Chrome. Do you?

Coming Soon: Weekly Featured Werewolf Art

There’s a lot of really great werewolf art out there. Drawings, paintings, sketches, 3D renderings, costumes, masks, statues… werewolf-loving artists can be quite enthusiastic. Starting tomorrow, Werewolf News will be showcasing a new piece of werewolf art every Friday. If you’re an artist with something wolfy in your portfolio and you’d like to get a little more exposure, drop me a line!

Werewolves on Facebook

If you’re a werewolf fan and you’re on Facebook, you’ve probably got the Werewolves app installed. I know I do. Forgive me this shameless plug for my own Werewolf as I try to beef up my stats. Honestly, though, the artwork is simply amazing. It’s worth leveling up just to see the male and female varients of each werewolf type, as illustrated by Mark Hiblen. If you’re on Facebook, check it out. If you’re not on Facebook, congratulations. You have more free time than I do.
