The folks behind What We Do In The Shadows are running a Kickstarter to fund their independent release of the film in America, and in the spirit of inclusiveness and good manners, they’re making this incredible “Werewolves Not Swearwolves” t-shirt design available as a backer reward.
As previously mentioned on Werewolf News, this film looks great, comes from a group of brilliantly funny people, and is getting rave reviews from audiences and the press. It’s going to open in New York and Los Angeles later this month, but they want to take it further – to theatres all across America. The $400,000 raised by this campaign will cover logistical expenses like posters, trailers, advertising, publicity, and copies of the film to project.
We have put together a plan with some of the best independent film minds around to reach as many cities and towns as possible, but we cannot achieve our goal without your support, enthusiasm, and generosity. Please help us bring “What We Do in the Shadows” to a theater near you!
You can get the “Werewolves Not Swearwolves” t-shirt at $40 and many of the pledge tiers above, and there are a lot of other great rewards, including a chance to be an extra in Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s next directorial project. I’m not greedy, though – I just want a chance to wear a cartoon werewolf Rhys Darby on my chest. Help me, won’t you? Oh yes – and help these nice vampires explore America, too.
