Cast Your Vote for a Feature Length “Werewolf Women of the SS”!

ArcLight just checked in with this burning missive: “Rob Zombie’s asking for votes concerning what his next film project should be. ‘Werewolf Women of the SS’ is running a strong second right now. Only three days left to vote!”

“The Devil’s Rejects Pt. 2” is currently in first place with 1,542 votes, and “Werewolf Women of the SS” has got 1,433 votes. You know what to do! Get over there and vote! The poll is on the right side of the page, roughly halfway down.

Two Killer Werewolf Tracks on Rob Zombie’s “Hellbilly Deluxe 2”

Rob Zombie loves two things: monsters and rock. Even if he hadn’t made it perfectly clear with the title, everything about his new album “Hellbilly Deluxe 2” is intended to evoke associations with his monstrous, sexy 1998 solo debut. Although I personally hear a little more of sneer than I’d prefer in his voice, and not enough of the roar he’s employed on previous records, Hellbilly Deluxe 2 is certainly worth a listen if you’re a fan of anything Zombie’s done in the past two decades. This isn’t a music blog, though, and there’s a reason I’m posting about Zombie’s latest here: there are two werewolf-themed songs on the album, and both of them kick ass. John 5′s southern-fried slide guitar on “Werewolf, Baby!” will have you combing your fur into a pompadour before you climb into your ’59 Cadillac Coupe to menace Little Red down at the drive-in. And although Zombie confirmed that his “Werewolf Women of the SS” Grindhouse trailer won’t be expanded into a feature film, he turned the concept into one hell of a jack-booted, crop-wielding song. You can check out both of the songs below. Howl, baby, howl!

Rob Zombie says “the time is now” for a “Werewolf Women of the S.S.” Movie

Hollywood.com has an interview with Rob Zombie in which he talks about wanting to shoot a low-budget, deliberately retro feature length version of Werewolf Women of the S.S. (one of the faux trailers that ran as part of Grindhouse). His comments seem half-serious, but here’s the interview– judge for yourself!

Another Rob Zombie Werewolf Auction

The ever-vigilant ArcLight sent me this link the other day, and I’ve been too busy to put it up until now: Rob Zombie is auctioning a Werewolf Women of the S.S. prop on eBay. It’s a 4.5-inch figurine of a werewolf in a torn military uniform, and is visible in the Werewolf Women of the S.S. trailer. The opening bid is $150.00, the auction ends at 9:44 AM PST on Friday the 12th, and of the time I’m making this post, there are no bids yet. Happy bidding!

Rob Zombie’s Werewolf Women to Get Their Own Comic

Werewolf Women of the S.S. posterAs reported on his blog and discussed by myriad other sources, Rob Zombie is planning a comic series based on Werewolf Women of the S.S., one of the trailers-for-fake-movies that ran with Grindhouse. There’s no other information available at the moment —no release date, publisher or artist— but as soon as that info becomes available, you know we’ll post it here schnell. Oh, and if you’d like to see the original (probably NSFW) trailer, here you go.
