Yeah Yeah Yeahs Video “Heads Will Roll” – Sweet Werewolf Dance Moves + Creative Gore

Courtesy of NME, here’s the video for the latest Yeah Yeah Yeahs single, “Heads Will Roll”. I’m a YYY fan so I would have liked this video even if it didn’t feature a bad-ass horror-style werewolf with Michael Jackson moves, and the way the (prodigious  amounts of) gore is handled during the video’s second half is dazzling and inspired. Nice intestines, guy!

Heads Will Roll is the second track on the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs record, It’s Blitz.

The Young Werewolves Mash It Up With Cult Film Legend

The Young Werewolves are a band who blend the styles of rockabilly, psychobilly, surf, punk, garage and pop music into an infectious mix. They’re releasing their second recording, entitled Cheat The Devil, with cult film star Sid Haig as executive producer.

The actor, legendary for playing the hulking menace in many low-budget exploitation and high-priced action films, stands in as the title character on the CD’s artwork and transforms sonically into the role of ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ halfway through the program of music. Sid has enjoyed a recent resurgence portraying the character ‘Captain Spaulding’ in Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.

Producer Andy Kravitz, who was also behind the board on the trio’s debut recording, crafted a listening experience that ranges from the depths of a mad scientist’s laboratory to the far reaches of outer space.

Cheat The Devil follows the Philadelphia-based trio’s self-titled debut released in 2004. Check them out at www.theyoungwerewolves.com and myspace.com/youngwerewolves.

Another Rob Zombie Werewolf Auction

The ever-vigilant ArcLight sent me this link the other day, and I’ve been too busy to put it up until now: Rob Zombie is auctioning a Werewolf Women of the S.S. prop on eBay. It’s a 4.5-inch figurine of a werewolf in a torn military uniform, and is visible in the Werewolf Women of the S.S. trailer. The opening bid is $150.00, the auction ends at 9:44 AM PST on Friday the 12th, and of the time I’m making this post, there are no bids yet. Happy bidding!

eBay Auction for Rob Zombie Wolf Boy Banner

Rob Zombie is auctioning off a “Lycane the Wolf Boy” banner used in the music video for White Zombie’s Electric Head Pt. 2. According to the auction description, it measures approximately 10 feet wide bt 4.5 feet tall, and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Mr. Zombie himself. The auction ends at 11:02:20 PDT on August 29th. If I had the money and the wallspace, you can bet I wouldn’t be posting about this auction here– I’d be bid-sniping to snag this thing myself! Thanks go to ArcLight for the tip.

UPDATE: The auction closed with a high bid of $1,025.00. Congratulations to the winner!

Rob Zombie’s Werewolf Women to Get Their Own Comic

Werewolf Women of the S.S. posterAs reported on his blog and discussed by myriad other sources, Rob Zombie is planning a comic series based on Werewolf Women of the S.S., one of the trailers-for-fake-movies that ran with Grindhouse. There’s no other information available at the moment —no release date, publisher or artist— but as soon as that info becomes available, you know we’ll post it here schnell. Oh, and if you’d like to see the original (probably NSFW) trailer, here you go.
