Another American Werewolf T-Shirt

Tuesday, December 16 – 1:26 PM

Hot on the heels of Friday’s Slaughtered Lamb T-Shirt post comes this great find by ArcLight: another excellent American Werewolf in London t-shirt, this time from FEARWERX. It was added to their catalog three days ago and it’s already out of stock, but hopefully it’ll come back soon!

An American Werewolf in London

I’m really liking this design, especially Werewolf David and the wonderfully decomposed Jack.

“The Slaughtered Lamb” T-Shirt

Friday, December 12 – 12:07 PM

Last Exit to Nowhere is a UK-based t-shirt company that specializes in designs “which are inspired and pay homage to some of the most memorable places, corporations and companies in 20th century fiction.” They’ve got some pretty incredible shirt designs, including one that fans of An American Werewolf in London will recognize:

The holiday shipping deadline for North America has already passed, but if you’re in the UK (or anywhere else and don’t mind waiting), you can snag one of these shirts for £17.50. Alternatively, if you’ve got a great idea for a shirt Last Exit to Nowhere ought to create, let MovieMaker Magazine know and you could win a shirt for free.

The Wolfman 7″ Action Figure

Wednesday, November 12 – 5:53 PM

ArcLight just sent in word that Mezco Toyz is now taking preorders for a 7″ Wolfman action figure. For $18.00 US, you can secure a figure that has “intense film accurate detail, 12 points of articulation, and sculpted clothing”. It ships in April 2009, just in time for the realease of the film. I don’t know about you, but I’ve already placed a preorder for this sharp little guy, and I’m seriously considering the 12″ version as well.

Life-Size Werewolf Prop by Fantaxy

Thursday, October 2 – 11:39 AM

Mike of Fantaxy FX sent me a link to a YouTube video of his latest creation– a 180cm (6′) tall werewolf with articulated head and arm movements.

Pretty impressive! You can see more of Mike’s work at www.fantaxy.es, although you’ll need to be fluent in Spanish to get the most out of the site.

Lycanthrope Research Case Revisited

Saturday, July 5 – 11:01 PM

If you’re a fan of werewolf special effects, you’re probably familiar with Alex CF’s super-detailed lycanthrope research case– I mentioned it back in April, and it’s still pretty much the coolest piece of three-dimensional art I’ve seen. Apparently a lot of other people dug it too, because he’s made another one.

19th Century Lycanthrope Research Case

Thursday, April 3 – 3:28 PM

This isn’t exactly news, considering it’s from last year, but it’s worth sharing because it’s quite impressive, and because this has been a slow week for news.

AlexCF, self-described “retrofuture cryptozoological assemblage artist”, created a Victorian-era werewolf research case as an art piece. The attention to detail is simply astounding– from the hand-written letters and documents that form the back story to the fur, tissue and fang samples and preserved werewolf fetus, it’s clear that a lot of effort went into this.

A lucky private collector managed to snag this creation when AlexCF auctioned it on Ebay last year.
