New poster for Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove”

A. Quinton — Mar. 8th 2013

As mentioned previously on Werewolf News, on April 19 Netflix will release all 13 episodes of Hemlock Grove, an exclusive miniseries based on the novel by Brian McGreevy. Here’s the poster, which is a clever inversion of the book’s cover, and completely terrific in its own right.

  • So are there actually werewolves in this? Because every synopsis I’ve read has said that the gypsy kid simply claims to be a werewolf. Also apparently theres a bio-engineering lab in the town so . . . werewolves?

  • I never actually finished reading it, so I don’t know for sure. I mean to pick it up again before the series airs so I know whether it’s worth the 13-hour investment.

Looks like more trained wolves or wolf/dog hybrids as werewolves.

    Pass until I’m proved wrong.

  • It’s actually werewolves! I picked up the book, about halfway in. There has been one major werewolf transformation, and other confirmed magics and such. Werewolves abound!

It has werewolves. Theres a transformation in the first third of the book, so it’s all good.

I was pumped, then I watched the trailer… This seems to be catering to the twilight/trueblood crowd. Why is everything so sexy now!?! lol. I noticed the lead is the same kid from the howling reborn. O well some day there will be an AMC/HBO/FX/Showtime werewolf show… just no time soon lol.

But do the werewolves actually look like monsters or just normal wolves?
